  2. How do I ask for a critique?

If you desire a specific aspect of your site to be included in the critique (i.e. navigation, layout, color scheme, etc.), be sure to note it in your critique request so members can respond appropriately. Likewise, if part of the site is disabled or not working properly, because you have not addressed it yet, you may wish to note that in the critique request as well. Remember to make sure to include the URL of your web-site.

  3. How do I give a critique?

Pay attention to any specific concerns of the member asking for the critique. You should feel free to give your opinion, but do so in a tactful manner, as you yourself would wish to be critiqued.

  4. Can I include additional description about my web-site?

Yes. You can explain (briefly) what effect you are aiming for with your web-site and ask whether this is the impression being conveyed.

  5. How do I deal with technical/software problems I'm having?

There are a variety of HWG mailing lists that cover just about any problem. See http://www.hwg.org/lists/

  6. Can I use the list to send 'thank-you' notes?

No. The best way to deal with this would be to write to the members privately.

  7. Can I respond to the list when disagreeing with another member's critique/opinion?

This would not be an approved topic for this list. Please bear in mind that members are giving up their valuable time to critique a member's web-site. Everyone has a different opinion and it is this difference of opinion that makes this list so valuable.
