Introduction to Apache AdministrationIntroduction to Apache Administration is designed to teach students how to administer an Apache 2.2 web server. The course covers configuration, management, and security on an Ubuntu operating system and contrasts the file architecture with the FreeBSD file architecture. At completion students will be able to host multiple domains secured with SSL certificates on the same physical server, will understand how to configure Apache to optimize content delivery, how to implement multiple languages for the same domain, and how to implement select security features including basic authentication. Students will be provided an overview of options for delivering dynamic content. The course does not cover building an Apache server from source code.
